Mula Eshet (b. 1934, Israel) is a self-taught Israeli fashion photographer who learned the tools of his trade in Israel’s burgeoning fashion industry. Eshet worked with most of the country’s fashion companies and leading models from the early 1960s to the 1980s. His photographs presented Israel’s unique locations as well as his own ideas about movement and posing, which were the hallmarks of his work. Besides fashion, Eshet also shot images for record sleeves and magazine covers. His work thus reflects the developments and transformations of local popular culture during the latter part of the 20th century.
