Elad Lassry

Elad Lassry (b. 1977, Israel) lives and works in Los Angeles. Lassry has developed a visual language for examining the current essence and usages of visual images. His work moves between the flat image and the three-dimensional object, observing the ways in which artworks occupy space. Lassry’s hybrid forms seek to challenge the ways in which viewers experience images and the consequences of these experiences. The relation between the abstraction of images and their impact is also central to Lassry’s work in film. Lassry’s works have been exhibited in leading international museums in Tokyo, Milan, New York and more. His works were on show at the Venice Biennial in 2011.
