Ella Littwitz

Ella Littwitz (b. 1982, Israel) is a photographer and conceptual artist living and working in Europe. A large share of her work revolves around Israel and Israeliness. As part of her creative process, Littwitz studies various archives and alternative sources of information looking for stories that have yet to be told and unfamiliar angles on national narratives and collective memories. With drawing, photography, video and three-dimensional printing, Littwitz creates fictive “findings” – imaginary products of her real research. Littwitz has shown her work in art exhibitions and festivals in Tel Aviv, Paris, Berlin, Germany, Toronto and New York. She received the Igal Ahuvi prize for a promising artist in 2013.
