Tamir Lichtenberg

Tamir Lichtenberg

Tamir Lichtenberg (b. 1977, Israel) is a multidisciplinary artist who creates art that is based on an underlying patent, idea or conceit. The ideas that guide each work change from project to project yet always include placing viewers in an active position in relation to the work. Much emphasis is given to the artist’s persona, whose meaning ranges from a complete romantic view of the suffering artist to bold sarcasm in relation to the celebrity artist. Lichtenberg is a graduate of the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, Jerusalem. His works are in important collections and have been shown in solo exhibitions at the Israel Museum in Jerusalem and Janco Dada Museum in Ein Hod.
